Troop Organization
The Troop 499 is comprised of Patrols of typically 6-8 boys each with a Patrol Leader and an Assistant Patrol Leader. The Patrol Leaders report to the Senior Patrol Leader who is the highest boy leader of the troop and who reports to the Scoutmaster. The Scoutmaster reports to the Troop Committee, headed by the Troop Committee Chairman. Each Troop Activity is planned and executed by the Senior Patrol Leader and his Staff (Asst Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leaders) under the supervision of the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters. The central theme is that this is a Boy-Led Troop. |
